The Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) signed a contractual agreement with the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) to manage funds for the protection and control of tobacco in Ethiopia (11, January, 2011, AA)


On behalf of the Ethiopian public Health Association (EPHA) the contractual agreement was signed by Ato Hailegnaw Eshete, Executive Director of the Association and on the behalf of the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) - by Debra Lynkowski, chief Executive officer of the CPHA.

The Agreement planned to carry out activities that will increase the EPHA capacity to advocate for the implementation of Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC). EPHA will use the fund to advance the execution of article 8 of FCTC, protection from exposure to second hand tobacco smoke.
