EPHA Says Farewell to Dr Thomas Kenyon


The Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) has presented a trophy and certificate of appreciation to Dr Thomas Kenyon, Country Director of CDC-Ethiopia, who has finished his term of office in this year. The honor has been awarded to him in recognition of his leadership, unreserved commitment and consistent support he has given to strengthen EPHA and the health sector development of the country at large during his service from 2008 to 2013.

At a cocktail reception, organized in the Dream Liner hotel, evening of 23 April 2013, EPHA has unveiled its appreciation and profound gratitude to Kenyon accentuating his role and meaningful interventions in the capacity building program of EPHA and supporting the effort geared towards improving the public health situation of the country.

Upon receiving the trophy, Dr Kenyon said that CDC has a special and cemented partnership with EPHA in implementing large projects like the field epidemiology program and MARPs survey across the country.

On behalf of the Association, Dr Tewabech Bishaw, President of EPHA extended her gratitude to Dr Thomas Kenyon mentioning his immense contribution and due consideration paid to professional Associations like EPHA to play a big role in the nations effort of the health sector development.
Invited guests from CDC, EPHA, EHNRI and other partner agencies were in attendance to bid Dr Kenyon farewell.
