BRICS Civil Forum
From 3rd – 4th July 2024
The official BRICS Civil Forum, scheduled for two days has started today july 3rd 2024 in Moscow, Russia.
The forum aims to bring together civil society (CSO) representatives from BRICS nations and its five new members.
The objectives of the Civil Society Forum is፡
– to provide a platform for independent CSO representatives from BRICS countries to exchange open opinions.
-to collectively assess the current state of civil society within BRICS nations and
To formulate a joint statement reflecting the concerns and aspirations of independent CSOs in the region.
Dr. Alemayehu Mekonnen, Executive Director of EPHA is one of the speakers in a session entitled “Healthy Population as a Fundamental Condition for the Development of BRICS and BRICS Partner Countries”
The closing of this forum to be held tomorrow on 4th July 2024 will be marked by an award ceremony for the winners of the Philosophical Essay Contest.
